Waiting
In between locations…
Well, since my last post and this post, I have covered quite a few miles working in my new office for my new company – what a change for the better!
I have a 2nd quad which is now based on the Crius All In One Pro flight controller and despite having it flyable for a while, I’ve not had enough time to play with it. I have balanced some coloured props to help in orientation but I just need more time to play. I also have an FPV (First Person Video) whereby I can see what the quad sees from an onboard camera and transmitter. It would seem that it is easier to fly like that but at first, it wasn’t as it was quite confusing 😛
I am still looking for a new home in my new location and this time, in a house share.. so many places, but which one will be right? I think one that will be available on the 17th of December… I am hopefully meeting with the people next week to see if it will be suitable but it’s in a great place in town so the location is a great start. The people sound fun too, so time will tell. In any case, I can continue to stay with the lovely family I am currently staying with now. Thanks Jemma and Malcolm.
Other news is there is some citizen journalism I am hoping to start, maybe a new blog and possibly a new YouTube channel, it’s an interesting project and I will post more about it here soon. Suffice to say, there is going to be some interesting training occurring in a couple of weeks.
Exciting times, exciting places but missing having my friends and family so close…
Eeek! Hello again!
For some reason, I was thinking about this domain when looking to register for a website, so I thought about my blog (as I haven’t in some time now). My tinkerings. I’d found recent adventures into electronics and the Arduino [ <3 ] but I was looking for more of my worldly thoughts, my ideas on reality, or my 'off the beaten track' musings... they're a bit old now so maybe I will endeavour to share my holistically inspired world thoughts more often. My attention was then brought back to the revolvermaps stats and as I spun the world at large (in the virtual 3D sense!) little yellow dots would show up - and largely to my surprise, in varied places around the globe! This therefore, is a greeting to all of you around the world who've read one more more words from this blog. Hello and welcome! This year, 2012, is a year that has been discussed at length before it even started. Still now, thoughout it's period of "time", it is discussed and pondered as it is happening! What is it with 2012? Well, for anyone living around London, 2012 is the year of the Olympics - not long from now in fact. To others, 2012 is represented as an apolocalyptic end of world scenario whilst some see it as a point of human ascension to something more. Well, there are a lot of theories out there, and a lot of doomsday sayers who see it as a way to make money. It's easy to get lost in the theories and ideas since many of them are contradictory but the one thing that remains constant is we're living through it right now. We are only half way through and anything can happen in the next 6 months from now. Let's enjoy the journey - whatever may happen. So far, scientists at CERN are happy to report finding new particles in experimentation after being suggested theoretically. This could change future advances in science and hopefully towards technology that allows humans to live in harmony with this planet. I believe that technology can helps us reduce our ecological footprint on this planet and allow us to live in a cleaner world where we recycle everything and landfill nothing. Indeed this may be a point much further in the future than this year but we will achieve it one day. The throw away culture of many societies needs to cease and we can all help work towards that goal. More updates to come soon but hello all for now!

Fruits of my labour
After the break…
I’ve been up to so much, tinkering, engineering, soldering, sanding, cutting, crafting, attaching, filming and zip/cable-tie’ing (amongst many other verbs)… We’ll put the multirotor QuadX to one side for now though whilst I make this important announcement…
My trusty Samsung Galaxy SII is always by my side. Suffice to say, she’s had a lot of adventures in the last year. Flying on an RC plane, attached to the front of my car, on my forehead(!), upon many different surfaces, in the car mount, filming forwards, filming backwards, ringing in 360 degrees and vibrating and reverbing many things. She entertains me and connects me, she records for me. We’re great friends 😀 The Galaxy SIII is out tomorrow though, a pen?! In any case, it’s exciting, My SII, you’re still going to be with me for now but whatever happens, we’ll always be friends!
My phone’s latest flying adventure!
